Swart, L.C., & Van Zyl, P.P. (2019). Pro Arch: Immediate full-arch restoration with 4 straight Straumann® BLT implants. Straumann.
Video documentation of the clinical case “Immediate restoration with Straumann® Pro Arch using four straight Straumann® BLT implants” performed by Louwrens “Blackie” Swart and Paul van Zyl, South Africa. Straumann® Pro Arch is designed to enable versatile treatment protocols for implant-borne fixed full-arch restorations to treat different clinical situations with predictable outcomes.
Swart, L.C., & Van Zyl, P.P. (2019). Single molar restored with BLX implant and immediately loaded final crown in 1-Tooth 1-Time technique. Straumann.
The immediate implant placement and loading of a prosthesis in an edentulous jaw is an accepted treatment modality in dental practices worldwide. Optimisation of treatment time is an attractive option for both the treating implantologist and the patient; thus, a single-stage surgical procedure and new loading protocols have been explored. The One-Tooth One-Time (1T1T) technique helps to predictably place implants in the molar area of the mandible, followed by immediate loading of a prosthesis hours after surgery using the Straumann® BLX system and a digital workflow.
Van Zyl, P.P. & Swart, L.C. (2020). Approaching dental implants from the right angle – recognizing, preventing and treating misaligned aesthetic implants. Campus Live Webinar. Straumann.
This lecture provides information about the ways to prevent misaligned implants (including the use of analogue and digital guided surgery) and how to identify and treat the cases that can be salvaged. The circumstances under which the removal of an implant is more appropriate is discussed.
